How could we improve Pillow?

    I would to see some information/metrics on the amount of sleep apnea experienced during the night.

    • Redesign how you start a session

      Setting the alarm time on the phone but starting the session from Apple Watch keeps catching me out - it should be all one device or the other, but not both.

      I’ve been using Pillow for a little while but I still wake up sometimes (not every time) and discover it didn’t track any sleep data from my Apple Watch because of how I started the session. It’s always the same;

      I set the alarm on the phone.
      I see the Apple Watch logo is lit up, so I press start.
      I go to the Watch app, press start, it…

      • Need vibrations Apple Watch

        it is much muy easier and quiet to wake up with vibrations in most of the times for not disturbing others. it’s even more comestible and efficient most of the times i guess. so i suggest a variety of different options of vibrations, in my preference for the apple watch. with an option that make you sure that there will be no sounds that may disturb.

          • Elapsed time for each sleep catagory.

            After waking I see the percentages of light sleep, deep sleep, REM sleep, and Awake (moving while sleeping), and they are detailed with percentages which I have to convert to time (minutes and hours). Why not show the percentage of each level of sleep, but also add hours and minutes, for example, REM sleep 13%/42.9 Min., Light Sleep 34%/1 Hr 52 Min, while still basing the inforamation, time in bed.

            • Optimal wakeup based on sleep schedules

              It'd be great if I could select in Pillow's settings "wake me up at the optimal sleep cycle interval" and then identify the window (say 6-7:30am) in which I'd want Pillow to - relying on my sleep cycle data - detect an optimal time between cycles to wake me up. I've realized my alarms may disrupt deep sleep and then I can't fall back asleep and struggle to really wake up. It would be hugely helpful if Pillow could use the sleop cycle data to prompt users awake when they'd be most refreshed rather than disrupted.

                  Siri integration is something that we are already planning for an upcoming version of Pillow. Thank you for your support.

                • exclude TV noise from audio

                  It would be nice if pillow could recognize a continuous amount of chatter that would indicate TV and not record a bunch of clips for while TV is on. Then, when the more or less continuous noise ceases (if the user has set a sleep timer or something), it can start picking noise up again.

                    • Manually record I am awake

                      Obviously the only time I know if the app is accurately recording what stage of sleep I am in, is when I am awake. During this time I often check my watch and the next morning find that the times that I checked my watch were not recorded as awake! Can you add the ability for the app to recognise a manual input to supplement the A.I. and accurately record when I am awake. This could be a something like simple double click to avoid error.

                      • Auto-save session data if I accidentally close the app

                        Please consider updating the app to “auto save” if it is accidentally closed during a session.

                        I have accidentally exited the app (while closing other apps in the background) before ending my session. When I reopen it, the entire session is lost.

                        Is there a way to retain the data so it is not completely lost if the app is accidentally closed?

                          Allow for a slow fade in for alarms to prevent the sudden loud burst of noise that would shock you awake.

                          • Please use buttons instead of swiping to open analysis reports

                            Please make it more user friendly by adding visible buttons to Pillow App instead of swiping to open/review the App associated analysis reports. Due to sensitivity of iPhone touch, it appears to open other hiding/shortcuts programs needing multiple swipes to open Pillow App report menu. Thanks!

                              The new sleep AI is great and is teaching the app how I sleep, which as an active/mobile sleeper is fantastic. My request, although similar, is to add that to the quality percentage. Frequently I will wake up and feel amazing and have had a great nights sleep but when I look at pillow it reports my quality as 34% (randomly using that number). When I look at the duration of stages it will have nearly zero time recorded in REM sleep which is apparently resulting in the AI thinking I did not sleep well. Maybe your algorithm is giving…

                                It should be great to have a new interface less light, with the brightness set to minimum, in the night, the interface is too light and not really esthetic unlike the iPhone app...

                                • manually exclude certain sleep sessions from averaging

                                  It would be great if we could manually exclude certain sleep sessions under unusual circumstances from averaging. For instance, for my job I have to take in house 24 hour call. On those days, I may sleep very little or not at all. But those don’t really represent my regular sleeping habits for those days of the week or overall. I also sometimes have to take night call for days or weeks at a time and it would be nice if we could designate some of those sessions to be excluded, especially in terms of analyzing optimum sleep time.

                                    There NEEDS to be more information to put in upon waking up. Like a dream journal and seeing if my vivid dreams have any connection with stuff the night before like alcohol intake and how a bad dream affects my wake up mood. Can rate dreams good to nightmarish and see them on a graph. I forget my dreams pretty quick but get annoyed because they really have an impact on what the data is telling me (like why I’m saying weird stuff in my sleep)
