How could we improve Pillow?

  1. Set wakeup time from the AppleWatch and haptic wakeup

    It would be better if it was possible to set the wakeup time on the AppleWatch instead of have to set the time first on the iPhone, and then start the alarm from the AppleWatch.
    Also meaningless since the AppleWatch doesn´t do any haptic feedback for wakeup.

      Hello,
      The latest version of Pillow (v.3.7) offers the option to have haptic feedback alarms and no longer requires to have the iPhone and Apple Watch apps open at the same time.

    • Allow other background audio apps to play in the background

      I like to use other apps that play continuous audio throughout the night to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. The Pillow app kills the volume of other background noise apps when sleep is activated and that drives me nuts!
      Please fix this.

      • Update the app so that Apple Watch 4 users can take advantage of the whole display

        Update so that the full Apple Watch 4 display is used.

          I’ve used a couple of apps where I can edit sleep/wake times when I’ve forgotten to press wake up - rather than having 15+hours of awake data ruining my sleep log, I can crop the awake time away. Would be great to have that feature here too.

            • Ability to correct errors

              At least once or twice a week the sleep graph shows that I was awake in the middle of the night for 30-60 minutes or more, when I was not.

              I may have tossed and turned a few times, but I was not awake, and certainly not for an hour.

              So if the app recorded that you were awake from 2:15am to 2:50am, but you were asleep, you can fix that error. Likewise, if the app thought you were asleep but you got up to go to the bathroom at 3:30am for 5 minutes, you can fix that too.

              • Manually edit sleep times

                Let me manually correct my sleeping data (ie add sleep when forgotten to activate when going to bed or forgotten to stop in the morning)

                • Auto sleep/wake detection with auto stop/start.

                  Automatic session stop when you get out of bed and start walking around for a period of time (longer than I takes to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night), so if you forget to stop a session it doesn't keep recording for hours, adding wake time to your sleep stats. Also, if you stop a session in the morning, then fall back asleep, it would be great if Pillow could detect this and resume sleep recording.

                    I quite often forget to stop the app when I get up which gives inaccurate results. It would be really helpful to be able to edit (trim) the end time when this happens.

                      Sleep session editing is finally here! Please update to the latest version of Pillow and tap on the little edit button on the top right corner of each session to edit its duration.

                        Pillow can now turn off the screen completely when the a new sleep session starts. You can customise the Turn-off screen behaviour in from the Settings panel in Pillow.

                      • I’d like a post sleep notes option...

                        Would be nice to have preset post sleep report horses, fell asleep with light on, as well as a section for entering other events, neighbor’s stereo blasted till 3am....

                          Hello! This is already possible in Pillow. You can edit your sleep notes after the sleep session by tapping the Notes icon that you can find on your daily sleep analysis.

                        • How can you edit wake up time?

                          Mine went all the way to 4:30 pm when I woke up at 8 am and I can't figure out how to edit the wake up time. >.<

                          • Bedtime/Wake up time suggestions in Snooze Lab

                            Hi, it would be great to have in the Snooze Lab suggestions of the ideal time to wake up if you go to bed on a certain hour based on sleep cycles and your sleep history (using things like Sleep quality per weekday). Also, it would be useful to have a tab where you put when you have to wake up and Pillow suggest you the best hour to go to bed using "time to sleep", "sleep quality per weekday" and using your personal and recorded sleep cycles.

                              Hello, this already available in Snooze Lab. It’s our optimal bed time notification insight that should appear after recording a few sleep sessions.

                            • Automatic sleep tracking every night!

                              There is a new app in the store called Auto Sleep that automatically tracks your sleep every night, even if you forget to open the app before you fall asleep!

                              It uses the motion sensors on the watch, so even if you fell asleep before you remembered to start the app, when you wake up in the morning and open the app, it will still upload your movement data from the night and give you an analysis.

                              So the only time you have to remember to open the app before you fall asleep is if you want the sound recording…

                                  Hello! This is already possible in Pillow using Notes. Create a note of each mood and when the notes dialog pops-up before going to sleep, check the mood the corresponding note.

                                • Snooze alarm without using the screen

                                  Hi, every morning that I snooze the alarm I need to look at the phone screen and search for the snooze button. I think it would be easier to just tap the phone or table in order to snooze the alarm or something similar.

                                    If you are using Pillow with the iPhone only, you can Snooze the alarm by lifting the device a few centimetres and then place it back on the mattress. Pillow will use the proximity sensor on the device to detect that it was lifted and snooze the alarm. If you are using the Pillow on the Apple Watch: Open Pillow on the Apple Watch > 3D Touch anywhere on screen and tap “Snooze”.

                                  • Edit sleep length when stop forgotten

                                    I'll sometimes wake up but forget to hit the stop/analyze function & it'll show that I've slept for 12 hrs with 6 of those hours awake, throwing off all stats. If we could edit/delete the excess end time showing awareness, then all stats would be more accurate.

                                    • Disable app from altering master volume

                                      When I use this app, sometimes the max loudness of audio is reduced to about half, even when I set the volume to "manual" and at 100%. It even alters this variable even after you exit the app.

                                      This is really annoying because I want my alarms to be loud. Please fix this or make an option to allow the master volume of the device and alarms to not be altered when using this app.

                                        The current version of Pillow has the option manually setup the alarm volume. You can find this option in the alarm settings by tapping on the little “bell” icon on the bottom right.

                                      • Ability to adjust sleep time

                                        I often forget to turn off the app in the morning. I would like to be able to edit the time when I forget.
