Sync data with Google Fit
Believe it or not some of us use an iPhone because we have to, but still live in Google's world. Would love to be able to sync sleep data with Google Fit for cross platform functionality.
It’s harder than you think to sync cross platform when an app is developed for Apple products due to Apple having such a tight hold on their software design and implementation. As much as it would be great to have an android compatible app, it would also result in completely rewriting the app in a different language, which at a certain point has a negative impact on the new application’s functionality. At their core the processing chips don’t run the same, quite literally like one is speaking Russian, and the other mandarin. That is something that would effect how the motion detection works, as while they do work in the same “way” it takes intense calibration to get it as accurate as the previous app.
Just to clarify I’m not saying it’s impossible at ALL, but as a programmer I feel obligated to try to explain what a developer’s logic is, as not many understand the minor nuances that make seemingly simple things more difficult in software, and I hope it can put perspective for everyone, they are trying their hardest :) Implementation takes time too, so there could even be a group working on this now, but it isn’t ready yet. Idk I hope this helps make other users able to understand how things function in apps like this, and when you do understand it is much easier for the developer to fix the problem, and puts less stress and pressure on them from consumers.
Patience young padawan, and have faith in those of us weaving ones and zeros together us :)
