How could we improve Pillow?

  1. Dream information

    There NEEDS to be more information to put in upon waking up. Like a dream journal and seeing if my vivid dreams have any connection with stuff the night before like alcohol intake and how a bad dream affects my wake up mood. Can rate dreams good to nightmarish and see them on a graph. I forget my dreams pretty quick but get annoyed because they really have an impact on what the data is telling me (like why I’m saying weird stuff in my sleep)

  2. Manually add sleep seasions

    I have a sleeping disorder , Idiopathic Hypersomnia, where I fall asleep at random times. I will often miss activating Pillow for sleep sessions (naps or overnight) I can’t afford an Apple Watch so my sleep data does not reflect the amount of time I sleep. I need this data to provide myself and my sleep specialist with accurate information about the efficacy of my treatment. Pillow is a fantastic tool for monitoring sleep, but without the ability to manually add sleep sessions to get an overall picture of the total time I sleep, it’s data is inaccurate and therefore…

  3. Focus on features that help me get a better sleep

    The best use you can meet in using a sleep monitoring app is to help you get a better sleep time.

    This may come with a better understanding of your own sleep data versus a benchmark data. And, of course, all the way to get there.

    Bringing useful tools to analyze your data crossing with everything that may had cause this positive or negative event during your sleep time or throu a series of days.

  4. Integrate Pillow with Fitbit Charge 3

    Fitbit Charge 3 seems to have a great array of useful sensors. Can this work with my Pillow app? If so,how? If not, why?

  5. Fade in option for alarm

    Allow for a slow fade in for alarms to prevent the sudden loud burst of noise that would shock you awake.

  8. Comparison with population data

    A feature I miss from the Fitbit sleep analysis is comparing my sleep analysis with people of similar age and gender. In other words how does my REM% or heart rate compare with similar age and gender.

  10. Remaining time of sleep in HOURS & MINUTES

    Like I said in the title, please allow us to see the remaining time of sleep, once the alarm is set... in hours and minutes .. and not in fractions.. 7.3 hours should be able to become with a command or with a click on the UI ~> 7hour & 20minutes

  11. More granular sleep target

    Please allow me granular sleep targets. For example 6.5 hours, instead of only full hours.
    Seven hours I almost never gain, whereas six hours are too less.

  12. Respiratory rate?

    Are there more insights to gain by tracking respiratory rate during the night? I wear spire health tags during day and while I sleep and they just track respiratory rate and pulse and have pretty similar looking charts in the morning. If so, an integration with Spire, or we just authorize health app to give that data to your app, would be cool and possibly more beneficial data/insights. I know Oura ring tracks everything Apple Watch does plus respiratory rate.

  13. Wake Up Time Insight

    From personal experience, I’ve noticed I perform different on days where I get up at certain times after X number of hours asleep. The bedtime insight is good, but it doesn’t mean anything if you only sleep 5 hours and aren’t refreshed.

    I think a more advanced insight that says, “On days when you get between X and Y hours of sleep and wake up around HH:MM:SS you are most refreshed” would be very beneficial for the general population. That way, you can try different things like working out before work, morning routines, roll out of bed and go, to…

  14. Do away with bright screen on snooze lab and settings

    Give us the option to reverse colors on the snooze lab and settings screen or just make them darker across the board. Having a bright screen shine in your eyes in a dark room isn’t fun at all.

  15. View past sessions on Apple Watch

    It would be great to see previous sleep sessions on the Apple Watch. Also, automatic sync to the watch right after waking up.

    Data from the Apple Watch in particular like calories burned, exercise minutes, whether hit ring goals for day should be available on the chart.

  18. Recordings captured in the night waveforms

    It would be nice if the recordings that Pillow captures could be displayed with waveforms so we know instantly if it was just heavy breathing or talking in our sleep of some other kind of movement that set the microphone off.

  19. Interface on Apple Watch

    It should be great to have a new interface less light, with the brightness set to minimum, in the night, the interface is too light and not really esthetic unlike the iPhone app...

  20. Additional Color UI Options

    This has been brought up before but I’m adding it again to hopefully start a new discussion on this topic as I believe many, if not most, would like the ability to switch up the color from time to time. Not that we dislike the color purple or anything ;)
