Pillow has switched to Chinese or another language.

The app's language is chosen automatically based on the language settings of the iPhone. So, if your iPhone is set to one of the supported languages (currently French, Czech, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese) the app will automatically adapt. Otherwise, the content shall appear in English. This article discusses the cases that Pillow on the Apple Watch or the iPhone appears in a language different from what it was expected. 

A. Remove any unwanted languages from the iPhone

The language on the Apple Watch is affected by the language settings on the iPhone, so please remove any unwanted language from the device. In order to do that:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
2. Tap on "General" and then "Language & Region"
3. You should see a list titled "Preferred language order". Please check if any unwanted language (such as the Chinese, which seems to be the most frequent language being their involuntarily) exist in this list. If so:
4. Tap on the "edit" button on the top right of the screen
5. Tap on the delete symbol on the left of the language entry and tap on the "Delete" button that appears.
6. Tap "Done"
7. Restart your devices

B. Properly set the preferred language order:

If you do not want to remove the language from your device, please make you give it a priority lower than English. Follow these steps to review this setting:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
2. Go to: "General" > "Language & Region"
3. Tap on "Edit" in the top right corner
4. Make sure "English" or the language you prefer appears as the first item on the list.
5. Remove any other languages from that you are not currently using.
6. Tap "Done"
7. Restart your devices.

C. To change the language of Pillow on the Apple Watch to English:

If none of the (A) or (B) work for you, please follow the steps below to change the language on your Apple Watch:

1. Open the "Watch" app on your iPhone
2. Go to "General" > "Language & Region" > "System Language" and select "English".

This will change the system language on your Apple Watch to English. Once this process has completed, open Pillow on the Apple Watch to confirm that the language of the interface has changed to English. You can now change the language of your Apple Watch back to any other language that you had selected

D. Apple Watch only: Delete and re-install the Pillow on the Apple Watch

If any of the above recommendations did not work please do the following:

1. Uninstall Pillow from your Apple Watch
2. Restart your Apple Watch
3. Install Pillow on the Apple Watch.
