Troubleshooting iCloud, syncing and data loss issues

Ensure that your device isn't low on battery.

If you have enabled iCloud for Pillow, please note that syncing may be disabled by iOS to reserve battery. Ensure that your device isn’t low on battery or in Power save mode.

Restart your devices

  1. Restart your iPhone or iPad
  2. Launch Pillow

Set the time automatically on all your devices:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Go to General → Date & Time → Set Automatically
  3. Restart your devices
  4. Launch Pillow

Check iCloud status for Pillow:

If you have enabled iCloud for Pillow:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap on your Apple ID account (first option)
  3. Go to iCloud > Ensure that Pillow is turned: ON
    If iCloud is already ON: Turn the switch OFF → Restart your device → Turn the switch ON
  4. Check if your data is now available in Pillow

If you don’t have enabled iCloud for Pillow:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap on your Apple ID account (first option)
  3. Go to iCloud > Ensure that Pillow is turned: OFF
    If iCloud is already OFF: Turn the switch ON → Restart your device → Turn the switch OFF
  4. Check if your data is now available in Pillow

Reset “Sync to iCloud” option

If you want Pillow to sync your files using iCloud:

  1. Ensure that your device is connected to the Internet
  2. Open Pillow → Go to Settings
  3. Make sure “Sync to iCloud“ is turned ON
    If it is already turned ON: Switch it OFF for a few seconds → Switch it back ON and wait a few seconds → Press the home button or swipe up from the bottom to close Pillow → Launch Pillow again and check to see if you data re-appeared

If you don’t want Pillow to sync your files using iCloud:

  1. Open Pillow → Go to Settings
  2. Make sure “Sync to iCloud“ is turned OFF
  3. Press the home button or swipe up from the bottom to close Pillow → Launch Pillow again and check to see if you data re-appeared
